Lori Herbst works in a variety of media. Her artworks often refer to pop and mass culture with an emphasis on horror. Using iconic photographs and images from historical situations, Lori uses various mediums including assorted textiles, vinyl upholstery, and stencil backgrounds to create photo realistic sewn portraits. Subject matter can range from popular culture, featuring musicians and actors from 19th through 21st century media, to medieval bestiary.
